Chris O'Keefe- Tennis Professional
Chris is a former top ranked junior player in the state of Virginia. She went on to have a stellar collegiate career, playing #1 singles all four years at Radford University. She was the Collegiate State Champion her freshman year and also advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament as a senior and was a College All American. Chris was inducted into the Radford University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998.
Before coming to Hidden Valley Country Club, she taught 20 years at Roanoke Country Club. Chris has trained nationally ranked juniors at the Smith/Stearns Tennis Academy in Hilton Head, South Carolina. She is PTR certified with a professional rating. She enjoys working with all levels of junior and adult players from beginner to advanced!
Predro Casco- Tennis Teaching Professional
From Corrientes, Argentina, Pedro played professional tennis in Argentina from ’92-’98. He became a tennis instructor in 1999 coaching players of different levels at Corrientes tennis Club and Match Point Tennis Academy in Argentina. He has worked with players such as Leonardo Mayer (top 25 ATP) and Agustin Velotti (#166 ATP highest ranking). And other strong juniors such as Natasha Subhash, #1 sophomore player in VA. Pedro and his wife, Mariana, came to the US in 2004. He’s USPTR (Professional Tennis Registry) since 2005. Since 2007 he moved to Fredericksburg, and between 2007 and 2012 he worked as a personal tennis coach. Pedro and his wife came to Roanoke in 2012 and they were head and assistant coach for the girls varsity tennis team at North Cross School until 2015, he also worked as a private coach with top high school players from the public system in the Roanoke Valley.
Tom Gibbs- Teaching Professional/Facility Manager
Tom is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He has been with Hidden Valley Country Club for 35 years, serving as the Director of Tennis for many years. He retired in 2009. He is currently the Facility Manager and continues to teach tennis. Tom is certified by the USPTA. Tom has worn many hats in the tennis industry. He was WTA Avon Futures Tournament Director (1986-1990), Men’s ATP Senior Tour Director (1988-1990) and won the 35-and-Over Virginia State Doubles Championship in 1988. Tom continues to have success playing USTA leagues at the 4.5 level.
